Curious to discover your communication style? Take the assertiveness test!

This assertiveness test is designed to evaluate your level of assertiveness and communication skills.

The test is intended to assess how you communicate in different situations and identify your strengths and weaknesses in terms of assertive communication skills.

Understanding different communication styles can significantly improve the quality of your relationships. The following online personality test highlights your communication style and, implicitly, your level of assertiveness, non-assertiveness, manipulation, and aggression.

There are 4 communication styles:

  • Assertive style (constructive attitude) – represents the ability to self-affirm, express honest, direct, and clear opinions and rights without aggression and without harming others.
  • Non-assertive style (passive avoidance) – tendency to hide, avoid confrontation rather than standing up for oneself.
  • Aggressive style (attacking attitude) – tendency to always be in the forefront, have the last word, and impose oneself at any cost, regardless of whether others are harmed or upset.
  • Manipulative style (manipulative attitude) – represents the individual’s preference for a behind-the-scenes role, tendency to wait for the right moment to emerge and take credit.

It is important to note that assertiveness, non-assertiveness, aggression, and manipulation are behavioral traits that can change over time through practice and personal development. Additionally, it is important to recognize that each person is unique and cannot be categorized into a single type of behavior or personality.

“Assertiveness does not mean avoiding conflicts, but taking responsibility for resolving conflicts in a positive and constructive way.” – Carl Rogers
